From August 8th–10th, Trops had the joy of attending Elements Festival once again. This festival was nothing short of absolutely incredible. By embodying the four elements of the universe, the event created an immersive environment for all types of EDM enthusiasts. Whether you prefer to sit and let the music wash over you or dance and move with the rhythm, Elements catered to all 30,000 of its attendees.

This festival gave me the chance to experience artists I had never truly taken the time to listen to before. The introduction to new genres offered fresh ways to enjoy EDM and redefined the genre for me entirely. It made me realize just how naive I had been about the full spectrum of this music scene. The lineup was incredibly well curated, with a perfect blend of both major and emerging artists. One of the festival’s greatest strengths was its emphasis on smaller artists, giving audiences the opportunity to discover talent that might not surface through typical social media algorithms. These emerging performers had the chance to play for larger crowds, which brought a vibrant energy and sense of confidence to the entire festival grounds.

Out of an entire weekend filled with talent, dancing, and beautiful sounds, I was most moved by Pretty Lights. I was lucky enough to catch two of their sets that weekend. Before Elements, Pretty Lights was an artist I listened to occasionally—never fully grasping the depth and complexity of their live performances. But what I experienced was far more than just music; it was a rich, emotional journey.

The energy—from both the group and the crowd—was unlike anything I had ever felt. Pretty Lights took familiar mainstream music and completely reimagined it. The mashups, the sampling, the seamless blending of sounds, and the introduction of new elements made it so much more than just mixing tracks or adding a beat. It felt like a love letter to music itself.

They pulled from a wide range of genres, fusing them together effortlessly. It was an unforgettable way to close out the weekend—truly a fantastic and moving experience. The immersive and almost divine energy of this festival wouldn’t have been possible without the dedication and kindness of the Elements Festival staff. From volunteers to security, booth workers to parking attendants, every person I interacted with was not only kind but deeply committed to ensuring the safety and enjoyment of the sold-out crowd around them.

As event curators ourselves, we understand that music and art festivals are about much more than just assembling a lineup and selling as many tickets as possible. Elements clearly understood that as well. We met new people and artists in the crowd, many of whom we were able to bring onto our mobile platform to help them grow—both as musicians and as music lovers.

Our gratitude for this event and everyone behind it is immense. Elements Festival was electric—an experience unlike anything I’ve ever had. Thank you, Elements, for changing the way I see and feel music forever. I hope to return in 2026 for an experience that's even more magical and powerful.
